«Содержательный разговор между лидерами Украины и США позволил детально скоординировать позиции наших государств и свидетельствует о близких и партнёрских отношениях между Украиной и США», – заявил руководитель Офиса Президента Украины Андрей Ермак.
Зеленский поднял вопрос необходимости реального пошагового плана для присоединения Украины к НАТО, который необходимо привязать к чётким календарным датам. Также президент Украины отметил, что время заявлений и деклараций о намерениях должно остаться в прошлом.
«Проведение именно такого максимально конкретного и доверительного разговора накануне большого европейского турне президента США, включающего саммит НАТО и двусторонний саммит США-РФ, указывает на то, что Украина и президент Владимир Зеленский обеспечивают наших партнеров качественной экспертизой по современным вызовам и рисков для безопасности в регионе», – считает Ермак.
На украинско-американских переговорах было отмечено, что не может быть сомнений в том, что Украина по своему ценностному фундаменту является неотъемлемой частью Европы. Сейчас в новой ситуации в Европе нужен именно логистический план вступления Украины в Альянс в ближайшем будущем. НАТО для нашего государства – это способ максимальной защиты. Движение Украины в НАТО – это также возможность достичь предпосылок для установки на Донбассе стабильного и прочного мира. Ситуация на Донбассе обсуждалась очень подробно.
Зеленский назвал причины периодической эскалации этого противостояния российской стороной, и сообщил о количестве и характере обстрелов, осуществляемых с оккупированной Россией территории Украины. Президент также подробно проинформировал о реальном количестве российских войск, сконцентрированных у границ Украины, и тех, что были передислоцированы в места их постоянного расположения.
Значительная часть разговора президентов была посвящена вопросу трансформации Украины в прозрачную и конкурентную систему.
«Американская сторона понимает, что ликвидация деструктивного консенсуса между олигархами и политиками в Украине вызывает мощное сопротивление старых элит. Но поддержка Америки для Украины в этой работе будет максимальной», – утверждает руководитель Офиса Президента Украины.

At the Ukrainian-American talks, it was noted that there can be no doubt that Ukraine, by its value foundation, is an integral part of Europe. Now, in the new situation in Europe, it is precisely the logistics plan for Ukraine’s entry into the Alliance in the near future that is needed. NATO for our state is a way of maximum protection. Ukraine’s move to NATO is also an opportunity to achieve the preconditions for the establishment of a stable and lasting peace in the Donbas. The situation in Donbass was discussed in great detail.
Zelensky named the reasons for the periodic escalation of this confrontation by the Russian side, and reported on the number and nature of shelling carried out on the territory of Ukraine occupied by Russia. The President also gave detailed information on the actual number of Russian troops concentrated near the borders of Ukraine and those that were redeployed to their permanent locations.
A significant part of the conversation between the presidents was devoted to the question of transforming Ukraine into a transparent and competitive system.
“The American side understands that the elimination of the destructive consensus between oligarchs and politicians in Ukraine is causing strong resistance from the old elites. But America’s support for Ukraine in this work will be maximum”, says the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
