У саудівському місті Джідда (جِدَّة) у вихідні пройшли дводенні консультації щодо України за участю 42 країн. Загальний документ за підсумками прийнято не було, а конкретні результати звелися до майбутнього опрацювання пунктів мирного плану України у робочих групах.
За підсумками зустрічі Україна заявила, що в Джідді пройшли «дуже продуктивні консультації щодо ключових принципів, на яких має будуватися справедливий та міцний світ». На зустріч не запросили рф.
“Підстав для укладання мирної угоди з Україною немає, росія має намір продовжувати операцію в найближчому майбутньому”, заявив Пєсков в неділю. Представник міністерство закордонних страв рф Захарова назвала будь-які політичні рішення без участі москви “абсурдом та нонсенсом”.
Головним змістом зустрічі була заява та зближення позицій. Важлива участь Китаю: на схожі червневі консультації в Копенгагені Китай не приїхав, хоча був запрошений. Присутність Китаю сама собою свідчить про наростаючу ізоляцію рф.
Китай дистанціювався від рф і дав зрозуміти, що приїде і на наступну зустріч, але поки що заявив умовно проросійську позицію, закликавши до припинення вогню без попередніх умов до переговорів. На те, що це неприйнятно, оскільки дозволить рф заморозити конфлікт.
З дипломатичної точки зору саміт у Джідді – великий успіх Саудівської Аравії, що зберігає підкреслено нейтральну позицію у відносинах із рф. Саудія збільшила свою політичну вагу, запропонувавши власний варіант врегулювання.
Країни глобального Півдня дали зрозуміти, що розглядають конфлікт в Україні як той, що має всесвітнє значення, а тому чекають на врахування своїх інтересів. Крім того, вони взаємно зблизили позиції з українцями.
Учасники зустрічі підтвердили, що в основі мирної угоди має лежати «повага до територіальної цілісності та суверенітету України». Це означає, що будь-які пропозиції Росії, що виходять із зворотного, стають непрохідними
Деталі плану Саудії. Поки що відомо, що він включає пункти про цілісність України, припинення вогню на всіх фронтах, початок мирних переговорів під наглядом ООН, а також обмін полоненими.
Залучення все більшої кількості партнерів рф у переговори про мир без неї, що погана новина для рф. Наступна зустріч у такому форматі може пройти вже у вересні у Нью-Делі у контексті саміту G20.

Two-day consultations on Ukraine with the participation of 42 countries were held in the Saudi city of Jeddah (جِدَّة) over the weekend. A general document was not adopted based on the results, and specific results were reduced to the future elaboration of points of the peace plan of Ukraine in working groups.
At the end of the meeting, Ukraine stated that “very productive consultations on the key principles on which a just and strong world should be built” took place in Jeddah. Russia was not invited to the meeting.
“There are no grounds for concluding a peace agreement with Ukraine, Russia intends to continue the operation in the near future,” said Peskov on Sunday. The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zakharova called any political decisions without the participation of Moscow “absurd and nonsense.”
The main content of the meeting was the statement and convergence of positions. China’s participation is important: China did not come to similar June consultations in Copenhagen, although it was invited. The presence of China in itself indicates the increasing isolation of Russia.
China distanced itself from the Russian Federation and made it clear that it would come to the next meeting as well, but so far it has declared a conditional pro-Russian position, calling for a ceasefire without preconditions for negotiations. That this is unacceptable, as it will allow Russia to freeze the conflict.
From a diplomatic point of view, the summit in Jeddah is a great success for Saudi Arabia, which maintains an emphatically neutral position in relations with Russia. Saudi Arabia increased its political weight by offering its own settlement option.
The countries of the global South have made it clear that they consider the conflict in Ukraine to be of global importance, and therefore they are waiting for their interests to be taken into account. In addition, they mutually brought their positions closer to the Ukrainians.
The participants of the meeting confirmed that the basis of the peace agreement should be “respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.” This means that any proposals from Russia that come from the reverse become impassable
Details of the Saudi plan. So far, it is known that it includes clauses on the integrity of Ukraine, a ceasefire on all fronts, the beginning of peace talks under the supervision of the UN, and the exchange of prisoners.
The involvement of more and more of Russia’s partners in negotiations about a world without it, which is bad news for Russia. The next meeting in this format may take place in September in New Delhi in the context of the G20 summit.
