5 січня, після серії публікацій Безуглої з критикою головнокомандувача ЗСУ Валерія Залужного, її рекомендували відкликати з посади заступниці голови комітету з нацбезпеки.
6 січня у Раді зареєстрували постанову про відкликання депутатки. 8 січня профільний комітет одноголосно підтримав відсторонення Безуглої.
10 січня спікер Верховної Ради Руслан Стефанчук достроково завершив засідання парламенту після того, як група депутатів заблокувала трибуну з вимогою поставити на розгляд питання про відкликання члена фракції “Слуга народу” Мар’яни Безуглої з посади заступника голови комітету з питань національної безпеки, оборони та розвідки.
На розгляді питання про відкликання Безуглої наполягали, зокрема, члени фракції «Європейської солідарності» та голова міжфракційного депутатського об’єднання «Розумна політика Дмитро Разумков». Але питання не було внесено до порядку денного.
Безугла обіймає посаду заступниці голови комітету Ради з національної безпеки з 29 серпня 2019 року. Після відкликання із займаної посади, відповідно до закону, вона залишиться членом комітету.

After a series of publications by Bezugla criticizing Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny, on January 5, it was recommended that she be recalled from the post of deputy head of the National Security Committee.
On January 6, in parliament was registered a resolution on the recall of Bezugla. On January 8, the profile committee unanimously supported Bezugla’s dismissal.
On January 10, Verkhovna Rada’s speaker, Ruslan Stefanchuk, prematurely ended parliament’s session after a group of deputies blocked the rostrum with a demand to consider the recall of a member of the ‘Servant of the People’ fraction, Maryana Bezugla, from the post of deputy head of the committee on national security, defense and intelligence.
In particular, the members of the “European Solidarity” faction and the head of the inter-factional deputy association “Reasonable Politics Dmytro Razumkov” insisted on considering the issue of Bezugla’s recall. But the issue was not included in the agenda.
Bezugla has held the post of deputy chairman of the Council’s National Security Committee since August 29, 2019. After being removed from her position, in accordance with the law, she will remain a member of the committee.
